The new moon is due in the Southwest Desert shortly after midnight April 20 turning into April 21, 2012. The nights are still pleasantly cool in the upper 50s (degrees Fahrenheit). By new moon, we will be experiencing daytime temp's near 100 degrees (F). The sun is strong at mid morning and into the afternoon. If you plan on visiting the Desert Southwest, you better bring your sunhat, sunscreen, and maybe long sleeve type protection and a generous supply of drinking water. The heat is on.
Freeze some cut fruit for your smoothies.
Still cool in the Southwest Desert,
