National Do Not Call Registry Closed Today
Howdy, I'm enjoying the Southwest Desert Autumn. Temperatures could stay below 90 degrees (F) today if we are lucky. Night temperatures may get below 70 degrees (F). Some leaves are turning yellow. I think they turn color because they finally burned out in the summer heat and lack of moisture. It's just a theory.
Life is good.
It was an excellent day until I got an unsolicited call from an unidentified phone number. I was expecting a call from out of state, so I picket it up. There was no answer, but they did not hang up. There were a few clicks. I told "them" I was on the Do Not Call Registry and if they called back I would report them.
In the past I have found taking the time to report repeat offenders to the National Do Not Call Registry deters future calls.
A quick visit to the National Do Not Call Registry now reads:
Due to the Government shutdown, we are unable to offer this website service at this time. We will resume normal operations when the government is funded.
Debido al cierre del gobierno no podemos ofrecer este servicio telefónico en este momento. Nosotros reanudaremos el funcionamiento normal cuando el gobierno este fianciado.
Yep, you get it in English and Spanish. You paid your taxes, but the site is down.

I published a comment from a reader today asking if anyone else has trouble getting the Omega VRT350 Juicer pieces apart for cleaning? If so, what do you do? You can guess my answer...
RETURN IT FOR A REFUND or roll the dice with an exchange. Sounds like the parts are not manufactured correctly. Normally, a juicer comes apart for cleaning:)
Thanks for that question. If anyone has other advice for that SouthWest Desert Blogger reader, just send it.
Waiting for your donation,
